Dierbergs Markets has announced the opening date for its newest store, in University City. Here's when it will open.

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. — Dierbergs Markets has announced the opening date for its newest store, in University City.

The grocer will open its University City location Tuesday, May 5, marking the family‑owned chain’s 28th store, the company said.

The 75,000‑square‑foot supermarket is located at 8680 Olive Blvd., in the Market at Olive development at the southeast corner of Interstate 170 and Olive Boulevard. The store will open to customers at 9 a.m., following an 8:15 a.m. public ribbon‑cutting ceremony, the company said.

The new U City store is expected to employ more than 100 workers. Store hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The store is across Olive Boulevard from the Costco store that opened in 2022. The new Target store located next to Costco will open Sunday, May 17.
